At Saxon Eco Energy we can install an air source heat pump or biomass boiler for you under the Green Homes Grant as we are MCS and TrustMark approved.

Full details of the scheme are now available on the Simple Energy Advice website.

Who is eligible?

A home owner including long-leaseholders and shared ownership properties. If you are not the owner but (are a leaseholder) you will need to get permission from the owner/other freeholders.

What kind of properties?

Any existing domestic property including a park home (a newly constructed home is not eligible). The idea is for older homes to be made more energy efficient.

The property must have adequate insulation and is likely to need an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) of at least D or above. If you already have an EPC you can retrieve it from the online register using the link above.

If I’m on a low income can I still do this?

Yes and you receive more than a standard home owner.

You will qualify for up to £10,000 if you receive one or more of the following allowances: income-based/contribution-based jobseeker’s allowance, income-based/contribution-based employment and support allowance, income support, pension ‘guarantee’ credit, working tax credit, child tax credit, universal credit, disability living allowance, personal independence payment, attendance allowance, carer’s allowance, severe disablement allowance, industrial injuries disablement benefit and housing benefit.

Which Air Source Heat Pump can I install?

We specify and install Air Source Heat Pumps from one of the following manufacturers:

Samsung, Panasonic, Hitachi or Mitsubishi.

The actual model and manufacturer will depend upon your specific needs.

What about a Biomass Boiler?

We install Froling, ETA, MCZ and Windhager biomass boilers.

How do I apply?

You will need a quote from a TrustMark and MCS approved business such as ourselves. You will also need to quote the TrustMark registration number.

Click here to go directly to the Government website. The grant will be issued as a voucher from November 2020 onwards. All work must be completed and vouchers redeemed by 31 March 2021.
